A present

My parents were life-long bird lovers. They had Paraquete named Meester, a Myna bird named Ringo, and a Cockatoo named Ooguu. Oogguu was a miserable creature, possibly because my Mom fed him scrambled eggs and chicken. I created Bird Garden as an anniversary present for them in the hopes it might replace Ooguu. Didn’t work. Sadly, Bird Garden went missing sometime after my parents passed away and we moved homes. Karma, I suppose.
The animations in Bird Garden were created via screen captures from Second Life. These were then image processed with video feedback and other video art techniques.
The images in this video are a simulation of what Bird Garden looked like. It was created by compositing the animation files into a still image of the TV Robot.
